Karl Dean Chapman
(November 23, 1933 - April 6, 2010)



Karl Dean Chapman, 76, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday April 6, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday April 14, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. He was born November 23, 1933 in Huntington a son of the late Homer Virgil and Nancy Olive Adkins Chapman. Also preceding him in death were a wife, Sandy Chapman, and a sister, Nancy Chesne. Karl was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and had retired from Cabell County Board of Education. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard E. and Kathy Chapman of Mount Gilead, OH, and Kirk and Julie Mount of Lesage; two daughters, Karla Sue Chapman and Barbara Lynn Chapman, both of Boynton Beach, FL; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet and Howard Chesne of Barboursville, and Janice Chapman of Lesage; two brothers, Roger Chapman of Hurricane and Norman "Butch" Chapman of Lesage; a brother-in-law, Sonny Chesne of Madisonville, LA; eight grandchildren, Karl Eugene, Jessica Lynn, Patricia, Jordan, Jason, Brandon, Tyler and Jasmine; five great grandchildren, TySean, John, Vanessa, Emily, and Carlos; and many nieces and nephews, who adored him. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
