Donald H. Jeffries

Donald H. Jeffries, 76, formerly of Huntington, passed away on February 21, 2010. He was the devoted husband of the late Martha Jane Jeffries (nee Lilly); beloved father of Ida (Micky) Walker and her husband Randy, John (Bobby) Jeffries and his wife Suzy, and Ricky Jeffries and his wife Stacie; loving grandfather of Marcia, Sarah, Aaron, Tyler and Jonathan; loving great-grandfather of Niki, Jason, Rianna, Jacob and Ryan, who now resides in heaven; dear brother of Mary Countryman, Charles Jeffries and wife, Dorothy, and Brenda Downey; companion of Carolyn Slade and her family; and much loved uncle of Charles Jr, Natalie, Lorri, Teresa, Charles Richard, Lisa Gail, Jeffery, Tamara and Charlene. After his retirement at CSX, Don became an advisor to his close and loving friends Chris and Tommy Kanaras and their families at the Box Hill Pizzeria. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Daniel Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
