Viola Ruth Thompson

Viola Ruth Thompson, 56, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 8, 1953 in Huntington a daughter of Reba A. Thompson of Huntington and the late Harold H. Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Homer H. and Naomi Ruth Thompson and maternal grandparents, Oliver and Viola Harbour. She was a member of Guyandotte Chapter #89 O.E.S. In addition to her mother, survivors include: a sister and her fiancé, Vanessa Blevins, and Rick Adkins of Huntington; a brother, Micah L. Thompson of Huntington; three nieces and their husbands, Andrea and Richard Cooper of Mississippi, Sable and Adam Bowen of California, and Francesca R. and Scott Roberts of Lesage; and three great nieces. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington for their loving care. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Kit Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at Chapmans Mortuary.
