    Thomas "Tom" Thacker

    Ronald Thomas (Tom) Thacker, 64, of Huntington, WV, 
    passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was 
    born June 13, 1945, in Ironton, OH, a son of Irene Vaughn Thacker Williamson 
    of Henlawson, WV and the late Sigel Thacker. In addition to his dad, Tom was 
    preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Thacker and a sister, Patricia 
    (Patty) Thacker Kinser. He was a 1963 graduate of Logan High School and 
    prior to retirement was employed by Huntington Chrysler Plymouth, Logan 
    Motor Sales and Logan Auto Parts. He attended church at Logan Church of the 
    Nazarene and Huntington First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his 
    wife of 46 years, Martha Keyser Thacker; three daughters, Kristina (Rod) 
    Proffitt of Logan, Tamara (Mike Hannah) Thacker and Amy (Dave) McCarty, both 
    of Huntington; six wonderful grandchildren, Brittany Lee Thacker, Hailee 
    Proffitt, Bradlee (Tiffanny) Furrow, Bethany Furrow, Alexis Deskins and Alex 
    McCarty; two brothers, Sidney (Juanita) Thacker and David (Kathie) Thacker; 
    his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Audrey and Woodrow Keyser of Henlawson; 
    and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. 
    Most importantly he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and 
    friend. He was a famous cook to all of his family and friends. He was loved 
    by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will 
    be conducted 10:30 AM Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Huntington First 
    Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Danny McSweeney and Dallas Moore 
    officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, February 19, 
    2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington and after 9:30 AM Saturday at 
    Huntington First Church of the Nazarene. There will also be a visitation 
    from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday at Logan Church of the Nazarene. Burial 
    will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV.
