Paul Bias
(March 6, 1925 - July 12, 2011)



Paul Bias, 86, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Max Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born March 6, 1925 in Lake, Logan County, WV, a son of the late Finley and Virgie Sanders Bias. Three brothers, Allen Bias, Wilburn Bias and Dale Bias and a sister, Lenora Bias, also preceded him in death. He was retired from Terrell Tool and Dye and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Colorado BB45. Paul was a member of VFW Post 1064 and American Legion Post 16, whose members will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Joyce Henry Bias; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Adkins-Davis and David of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sarah Bias of Lesage, WV; three grandchildren, David “Moose” Adkins and Beth of Huntington, Mandy Porter and Ronnie Jr. of South Point, OH and Jessica Bias and Dane of Barboursville, WV; six great grandchildren, Jordan Porter, Cassidy Porter, Aubrey Adkins, Skylar Adkins, Miles Bias-Tierney and Dessa Bias-Tierney; a sister, Wilma Clark of Palatke, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred Bias and Jackie of Lesage, WV; many special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
