Carl Leonard Hoeft, 55, of Milton, WV, died Wednesday July 13, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday July 16, 2011 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastors Randy Scites & Rick Waller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery, Pliny, WV. Carl was born June 17, 1956 in Redford, MI, a son of the late Leonard Carl & Geneive Losik Hoeft. He is a member of the Lutheran Church. God granted him his wish to live long enough to retire from Alcon after 29 years of faithful service. Survivors include his wife Brenda J. McComas Hoeft, 1 daughter Rachel Hoeft both of Milton, 2 sons A.J. Bryan of Pliny, WV, Eric Bryan of Glenwood, WV, 3 grandsons, Tra’ Bryan & Shelby Bryan both of Gallipolis Ferry, Wyatt Bryan of Glenwood, a sister, Paula MacMunn of Garden City MI., his In laws who he thought of as his parents, James & Betty McComas of Pliny,WV , brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Dwight & Angela (McComas) Smith. Pallbearers will be Eric Bryan, A.J. Bryan, Dwight Smith, Josh Edmunds, Luke Edmunds & Mike Rice. He fought a hard long brave battle with cancer. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday July 15, 2011.
