Pauline Lee "Polly" Fowler Cartmill
(August 9, 1925 - September 6, 2011)



Pauline Lee “Polly” Fowler Cartmill, 86, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1925 a daughter of the late Paul VanGorden Priddy and Opal Linda Adkins Priddy. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, her twin, Paul V. Priddy, Jr. and Robert F. Priddy. She was an executive secretary for the former INCO for 35 years. Polly was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Huntington, where she was a faithful member of the choir. For the past several years, she lived at Woodlands Retirement Community where she was a member of the Warblers Choir. She was an avid Marshall University fan and was a member of the Musical Arts Guild and the Quota Club. Survivors include: her husband, Robert H. Cartmill; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen “Steve” Fowler and Marsha Lively Fowler of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Fowler Johnson and Irv Johnson of Ona, WV; three grandchildren, Molly Fay Fowler of Huntington, Ashley Faye Johnson of Ona and her special Marshall buddy, Nicholas Johnson of Ona; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Diane Priddy of California; and many special friends including the god parents of her children, Albert and Wanda Tenney of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Friday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
