Ezekiel Mills
(March 1, 1933 - September 2, 2011)


Mr. Ezekiel Mills, 78, of Huntington, husband of Betty Henry Mills, passed away Friday, September 2, 2001 at St. MaryÂ’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Apostolic Life Cathedral, with Pastor E. S. Harper officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm Tuesday at the church. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 7, 2011 with full military honors, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, where burial will follow. He was born March 1, 1933 in Adams County, OH, a son of the late Marion Mills and Amy Miller Mills Frye. He attended Apostolic Life Cathedral, a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW Post # 1064, and a retired Electrician with Marshall University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Mills, sisters, Lula Dixon, Mandy Smith, Naomi Mauer, Frances Dixon, a half sister, Ruth Ann Watts, and a brother, Archie Mills. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Helena Gale Mills and Bobby Templeton of Huntington, 3 sons and daughters-in-law; Ezekiel Ray and Gayle Mills of Huntington, Marion and Christy Mills of Columbus, OH, David and Grace Mills, of Proctorville, OH, 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a half sister, Mary Lillian Naylor of Florida, and special friends, James and Betty Mayes of Proctorville, OH and Forest Bailey of Barkers Ridge . ChapmanÂ’s Mortuary is assisting the family.
