Mr. Jimmie D. Morris, 75, of Huntington, husband of Marilyn Safley Chapman Morris, passed away Sunday, September, 25, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services wall be conducted at 12:30 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. He was born January 23, 1936, in Huntington, a son of the late Ambrose Morris and Vida Dillon Perdue. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. He was a retired Crane Operator with INCO. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Curnutte. Additional survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Pam and Tom Davis of Huntington, Michelle and Brent Saxton, of South Point, OH, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law; Michael and Kimberly Morris of Huntington, and Curtis Leach of Saugus, CA,; a sister, Lora Gay Cremeans of Huntington,; a brother, Gary Morris of Greenville, SC., 10 grandchildren , 3 great grandchildren.
