Mary Kathleen King Hill
(February 21, 1930 - April 30, 2015)


Mary Kathleen King Hill, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington after a long struggle with lung disease. She was born February 21, 1930 in Leon, WV a daughter of the late Charles “Bear” King and Rebecca Stone King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hill; a daughter, Ellen Moore; a brother, Herbert King; a sister, Arbydean King; and three half siblings, Ruby Pickens, Ruth Stone, and Bud King. Kathleen was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and Charleston School of Commerce. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be forever missed by daughter, Melanie Rebecca Moore of Huntington; a son, Marvin Noel Moore and his wife, Valerie of Chesapeake, OH; two grandchildren, Derrick Moore and his wife, Amber and Lindsey Moore; and a sister, Juanita Burdette of Leon, WV and her childhood friends, June, Crystal and Nancy. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who cared for our mom during her long illness including Dr. Janet Wallace, St Mary's Medical Center and the wonderful staff at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, especially Christy Davis. We can't thank you enough. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Leon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.
