Robert Jerrell "Bob" Smith

Robert Jerrell “Bob” Smith, 85, of Proctorville, OH, widower of Carolyn Marie Smith, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born July 24, 1929, in Cabell County, a son of the late James Calvin and Minnie S. Bates Smith. A sister, Eileen Smith and two brothers, Paul and Doyle Smith also preceded him in death. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, and the retired owner and operator of Crystal Freight. Survivors include, one daughter, Krissann Smith Kimball of Proctorville, OH; two sons and their spouses, Jerry and Marybeth Smith of Calabash, NC, and James Michael and Rita Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; a sister, Doris Davis; 5 grandchildren, Jerrin Elizabeth Martus, Eric Smith, Doug Smith, Mallorie Smith, and Dustin B. Kimball; 5 great-grandchildren, Kyle Martus, Dustin L. Kimball, Connor Smith, Molly Smith and Liam Smith. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
