Fred Lawerence Bugg
(July 12, 1927 - January 11, 2015)



Fred Lawerence Bugg, 87, of Barboursville, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Wyngate Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Steve Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born July 12, 1927 in Hartford, IL a son of the late William Bugg and Gladys Tiefenthaler Inlow. He was a retired instrument technician for Honeywell and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Betty L. Gerl Bugg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michaela “Mike” Bugg Chiles and Chris Chiles of Barboursville and Jo Bugg Brookover and Mark Brookover of Leesburg, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Terry Bugg of Chillicothe, OH; four grandchildren, Christopher “Kicker” Chiles (Chelsea) of Barboursville, Drew Chiles (Shannon) of Batesville, MS, Ben Chiles (Samantha), of Barboursville, and Eva Bugg of Chillicothe, OH; a great grandchild, Campbell Grace Chiles; a sister, Evelyn Mahanay of East Alton, IL; and a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Sherry Bugg of Wood River, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
