Obituary

David Lee White
(June 10, 1943 - January 9, 2015)



David Lee White, 71, of Huntington, WV, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, departed this life to be with Jesus Friday, January 9, 2015, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary in Huntington with Pastor Paul Holton and Pastor David Clark officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with military graveside rites by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. David was born June 10, 1943, in Huntington, WV, a son of Carl and Bunah White. He was a graduate of Huntington East High School and was a veteran of the Air Force. He retired form CSX Railroad where he worked as a conductor. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by Mary Margaret White Vaughn, Doris Garvin, Carl “Bruff” White and Thomas W. Angle, Jr. Survivors include his wife Betty of more than 50 years, his sons, Tracy (Jennifer) and Jason (Greta), brother, Everett “Jim” (Lois), Donna Angle, James Edward (Tammy) Vaughn of Florida, June Angle, grandchildren Travis, Emily and Weslee, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends. David was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, January 12, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Chapman’s. The family wishes to give special thanks to all the workers from Hospice and Rev. Greg Creasy. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
