Obituary

Loretta Vay Grant
(November 1, 1924 - January 4, 2015)



Loretta Vay Grant, 90, of Huntington, widow of Lloyd H. “Lubby” Grant, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, in Saint Mary’s Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance, with Dr. Bill Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow. She was born November 1, 1924, in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Lillie Napier Lester. Her sister, Leota Faye Lester also preceded her in death. She retired from the former C&O Railroad as a clerk. She was a member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary at Cabell Huntington Hospital, an active volunteer at Cabell Huntington Hospital for more than 25 years, a member of the Beverly Hills Women’s Club and the O.E.S. She is survived by one son, Tim Grant of Graham, NC. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to service time Tuesday at the cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital in Loretta’s memory.
