Obituary



Douglas George Hager, 67, of Ona, WV, husband of Tammy Williams Hager, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Monday, March 19, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor David Hager officiating. He was born July 2, 1950, in Pike County, KY, a son of the late Bradley and Harriett Scott Hager. Three sisters, Edith Rose, Ann Mayhorn and Ruby Drake, and two brothers, Ernest Hager and Alex Hager also preceded him in death. He was a phlebotomist at Cabell Huntington Hospital, and a member of New Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include; two daughters, Jennifer Crouse (James) of Ona, Allison Cox of Shelby, NC, step-daughter, Stephanie Salyers of Huntington; three grandchildren, Jordan Crouse, Julia Crouse and Zanden Cox; two sisters, Emma Lanzara of Ocala, FL, and Donna Edwards of Fenton, MI; four brothers, Johnnie Hager and J.C. Hager both of Flint, MI, David Hager and Adrian Hager both of Fenton, MI; The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mr. Hager's name to the New Baptist Church food bank.
