Obituary



Bill J. Wilson, 78, of Huntington, WV, died Friday March 23, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 PM Tuesday March 27, 2018 at the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Angela Gay Kinkead officiating. Bill was born July 15, 1939 in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Walter and Susie Damron Wilson. He was a 1957 graduate of H.E.H.S where he received All-State honorable mention for basketball, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the former INCO Alloys, a member of the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church, avid golfer and runner and a long time member of the YMCA. He was a loyal volunteer for Hospice, Health South and the American Red Cross. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 60 Years Lois Carson Wilson, two daughters, Lee Anne (Brent) Beckett of Barboursville, Kelly (Andrew) Bolam of MA, one son, Douglas Wilson of Huntington, one sister, Beverly Heller of St. Louis, MO, five grandchildren, Bethany Kirtner, Kaitlyn Simpkins, Sean Beckett, Lauren Stump and Matthew Pizi, four greatgrandchildren, Carly, Addison, Bodie, Riley and a baby boy to be born. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
