Lura Ann Price Singer, 91, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Beckley, WV, died on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born March 19, 1926 in Beckley, WV., a daughter of the late Halbert D. and Golden G. Clay Price. She is survived by four children David Singer (Deborah), Stephen Singer (Sherry), Thomas Singer and Anne Graybeal (Jeff). Grandchildren, Evan Singer (Amy), Adam Singer, Elizabeth Abshear and Brianna Singer., Great Grandson (Ethan), a brother Halbert Price II (Lois) and a host of nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband Douglas Singer, two brothers Perry Clay Price and John Kelly Price. Lura was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV, attended Transylvania University and a 1950 Graduate of Marshall College. She belonged to the Phi Mu Sorority and the Marshall University Alumni. She was a retired School Teacher for the WV Board of Education and the Ohio Board of Education. A private burial will be held on Friday March 23, 2018 at Marmet Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held at the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Huntington, WV on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Wick officiating. The family request donations to be made to a charity of their choice or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
