Joyce Ann Jeffers, 71, of Huntington, died peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family Thursday, March 1, 2018. She was a custodian for the Board of Education. Born March 5, 1946, in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Opal Mae Finley Spears. Her husband Fred O. Jeffers, Sr, one infant daughter, one sister and one brother also preceded her in death. Survivors include, 4 daughters, Joyce Gillispie (Joe), Tonya Sowards (Roger), Donna Brannen, Billie Conrad (Brian); 4 sons, Lonnie Jeffers, Frederick Jeffers, Jr.(Tina), Jason Spears (Angie) and Daurean Sutton all of Huntington; 4 sisters and 1 brother; and was a dedicated grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington (Darcy) for all their efforts to her comfort in her last days. A memorial visitation has been scheduled with family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the funeral home. Per her wishes, she will be cremated.
