Danny was born July 30, 1925 in Huntington, one of 12 children of the late George F. and Oddie Holland Clark. He graduated from Barboursville High School in 1944 and then enlisted in the Navy. After his tour of duty ended, he returned home and played football at Marshall College under Coach Cam Henderson. He has the distinction of teaching, coaching football, basketball, and track, or being an administrator in all four area high schools: Barboursville High School, Huntington East High School, Huntington High School, and Milton High School. Later in his career, he was Transportation Director and Director of Building & Grounds. He retired from the Cabell County School System in 1985 and later was elected and served as a member of the Cabell County Board of Education. Clark's hobbies include: fishing at Kelley's Island, OH, beekeeping, hunting, gardening, and raising beagles as hunting dogs. He has been a member of the Barboursville First United Methodist church for 60+years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Lucy Tomblin Clark.
