Obituary

Harold "Mike" Bias
(March 8, 1952 - April 23, 2014)



Harold "Mike" Bias, 62, of Huntington, went home to be with his Lord following a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. He was born March 8, 1952, in Huntington, a son of the late Harold Monroe "PeeWee" Bias and Lillian Juanita Spurlock Bias. Others who have preceded him in death were a brother, Rick Bias and his mother-in-law, Louise Meaige. He was a postal clerk having worked in the Barboursville Post Office and the Huntington Mall Branch Office. Survivors include his loving wife Paula G. Bias of Huntington; a son, David Michael Bias of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and David Johnson of Huntington; two grandchildren, Cooper Johnson and Ethan Johnson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Connie and John Sprouse and Brenda McCallister; father-in-law, Charles L. Meaige; sister-in-law, Connie Lowe; special friends, Anthony Mitchell and Ronnie Lawhorn; and a host of special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Greg Creasy officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. The family wishes to give a special thanks to his friends, coworkers at the Barboursville Post Office, and the postal union, and that donations can be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary.
