Obituary

Earlene Mae Rowe
(January 6, 1945 - April 2, 2014)



Earlene Mae Rowe, 69, of Lavalette, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at her home and went to her Heavenly home to be with her Heavenly Father and her beloved husband Bob. She was born January 6, 1945 in Logan County, WV a daughter of Mae Gravely of Huntington and the late Jimmy Gravely. Her husband, Robert Francis Rowe, preceded her in death. She was a retired Healthcare Worker at Cabell Huntington Hospital and was a member of Hand of God United Baptist Church. She had faith in God and an enduring love for her children and grandchildren whom she was so proud of. She loved singing hymns and enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a caring and beautiful person inside and out. She leaves precious memories to those who knew and loved her. In addition to her mother, survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Greg McCoy of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Dale and Parr Perry of Proctorville, OH and David and Erin Perry of Columbus, OH; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Perry of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Derrick McCoy, Dakota McCoy, Allie Perry, Adam Perry, Justin Perry, Bethany Perry, Ethan Perry, and Rachel Perry; two sisters, Kay Sias and Daisy Donahue; three brothers, Rush Finley, Roger Gravely, and Tommy Gravely; and a host of nieces and nephews who she was known to as Aunt Sissy. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 pm Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with her son, Elder Jimmy Dale Perry and Elder Luke Richmond officiating. There will be no graveside services. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Valley Association Youth Camp, c/o Jimmy Perry 257 Township Road 1212, Proctorville, OH 45669.
