Obituary

Clayton Floyd Inscoe
(July 14, 1936 - April 4, 2014)


Clayton Floyd Inscoe, 77, of Proctorville, OH, passed form this life on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Huntington Health and Rehab. He was born July 14, 1936 in Huntington, WV the oldest son of Lillian Garnet Armstrong Inscoe and Clayton Henry Inscoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jim” Incsoe; a sister, Jennie Inscoe Valentine; his first wife, Willadean Edens Inscoe and their son, Anthony C. Inscoe; his second wife, Norma Perdue Ramey Inscoe and their son, Clayton F. Inscoe; and a step daughter, Martha Ramey. Clayton was a Marine veteran having served in the Korean War and three tours in the Vietnam War. He was always proud to be a Marine and was proud of his country. Survivors include: two grandsons, Joseph Inscoe of Scottown, OH and Ryan Dement of Ironton, OH; two granddaughters, Crystal and Stacy; step children, Margarite, Cora, Willy, David and John Ramey; one sister, Shirley Blake of West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, Raymond Inscoe of Jacksonville, OH and Bobby R. (Mae) Inscoe of Huntington, WV; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, April 7, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Buddy Muncy officiating. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to noon Monday at Chapman's Mortuary.
