Colleen Farmer Jeffrey, 87, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her residence. She was born November 17, 1928 in Earling, Logan County, WV a daughter of the late John and Bertha Clark Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Noble Farmer; her second husband, Alvie Jeffrey; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana Tackett and Arnold Tackett; and two sisters, Geraldine Sexton and Lorraine Sparkman. Colleen was a member of Guyandotte Church of God. Survivors include: a grandson, Matthew "Matt" (Jill) Tackett of Logan, WV; two sisters, Joyce Workman Napier and Ruby Adkins both of Huntington; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John Mitchell Adkins of Huntington and Jack and Gina Adkins of Columbus, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Verdunville Church of God, 2387 Mud Fork Road, Verdunville, WV 25649, with Bishop Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, WV. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington and noon to 1:00 pm Saturday at the church.
