Tassawanna Skidmore, 78, of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Barboursville WV, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in Teays Valley Center, Hurricane. Born August 8, 1937, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Gladas Trent Sims. Several siblings, and a grandchild also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, and Baptist by faith. Survivors include two daughters, Dianna Buschman of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Veronica Buckwalter (Kenneth) of Hurricane, WV; 3 sons, Donnie Lee Cyrus of Nitro, WV, Warren Huey Cyrus of Tacoma, WA, and Mack Skidmore (Terri) of Conroe, TX; one sister, Beaudry "Red" Simms of TX; two brothers, J.W. Sims of Ona, WV and Chuck Sims of TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At her request, there will be no services. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
