Obituary



Carolyn "Sue" Johnson, 51, of Huntington, WV, was taken to Heaven by a band of angels on June 16, 2016 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Apostolic Life Cathedral, Staunton Street Guyandotte, with Pastor Edwin S. Harper and Bro. Ravin Fields, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Sue was born April 12, 1965 in Camp Lejune North Carolina, a daughter of Carolyn Johnson Scarberry of Chesapeake, OH, and the late Russell William Johnson, Sr. Survivors in addition to her mother include; her only daughter, Mikell Macias of Huntington; her only brother and his wife, Rusty and Tanya Johnson of St. Albans, WV; step-father, Benard Scarberry of Chesapeake, OH; her Pride and Joy, granddaughter Scarlett Macias also of Huntington; one niece and nephew, Allison and Brandon Johnson both of St. Albans, WV. Sue worked 14 years as a productions tech for Alcon Manufacturing in Lesage WV, and attended Apostolic Life Cathedral. Sue loved going to the beach! She loved planning and hosting family gatherings and spending time during the holidays, and loved her annual family reunions. She could sit down and crochet a throw for a family member in no time flat. Sue leaves behind a large host of family, friends, and co-workers she loved dearly. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to service time Monday, June 20, 2016 at Apostolic Life Cathedral. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
