Obituary


Gary Dale Preece, Jr., 30, of Chesapeake, companion of Michelle Klodowski, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born July 9, 1985, in Huntington, WV. He worked in Appliance Repair and was a member of Spirit of the Lord Church, 544 6th Ave. Huntington. Survivors include his father, Gary Dale Preece, Sr. and his wife, Thresa of Milton; his mother, Evelyn Bowen, and her partner, Phil Rice of Chesapeake; his three children, Jaycee Preece, Brennan Preece, and Gary D. Preece, III., of Milton; three sisters, Alisha Smith and husband David Smith of Ironton, Nicki Preece of Huntington, and Tiffany Preece of Huntington; two half-sisters, Geri Lapelle and husband, Dave Lapelle, and Carrie Dillon, all of Huntington; a step brother, Shannon Dillon of Huntington; paternal grandmother, Louisa Adkins of Huntington; maternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Bowen of Huntington; a step grandmother, Carolyn Green of Milton; the mother of his children, Leah Bryant Preece of Huntington; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Nathaniel Ward officiating. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova.
