Obituary



Janet Marie Maynard, 51, of Huntington, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, died Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born March 24, 1965 in Huntington a daughter of the late Robert Lee Blankenship and Mary Frances Gibson Blankenship Turner. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Louise "Top" Carr, and Brenda Kay Blankenship. She was a former secretary at Diamond, Leftwitch, Goheen, and Dunn Accounting firm. Survivors include, her husband, Scott Maynard; two sons, Duane Scott Maynard of Huntington and Zachary Brandon Maynard and wife, Morgan Elizabeth of Catlettsburg, KY; a grandson, Kole Scott Maynard; a sister, Sue Clark of Milton; three brothers, Paul Edward "Eddie" Gibson and wife, Rosalie of Richmond, VA, Boyd Eugene "Gene" Gibson of Lesage, and Elmer Lee Blankenship of Ashland, KY; and a sister-in-law, Kim Hodge. She fought hard for years with her illness. She loved her family and her dogs. She is finally running in Heaven with two legs with the Lord Jesus Christ. She is finally happy and in peace. Per her request she was cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
