Obituary



Sadie A. Scarberry Robson, 100, of Huntington, WV, was called to heaven on Monday June 6, 2016. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday June 11, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. She was born January 16, 1916 in Lowmansville, KY, one of ten children, daughter of the late Frank and Evelina Young. Sadie worked 42 years at the Huntington Dress Factory. She loved to go fishing, garden and cook, especially what she grew in her garden, but her greatest love was her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Elra Scarberry and her second husband Tom Robson, four brothers: Bill, Liss, Morse and Hood Young, five sisters: Bea Kelly, Ollie Church, Mary Crabtree, Inez Young and infant Audrey. Sadie is survived by her two sons: Clarence O. (Marie) Scarberry of Pueblo, Colorado, and Frank G. (Lilia) Scarberry of Huntington, WV, two grandchildren: Frank Jason Scarberry of Huntington, WV, and Craig O. (Shanda) Scarberry of Pueblo, Colorado, five great-grandchildren: Frankie, Sadie, Layla Scarberry of Huntington, Grady and Garrett Scarberry of Pueblo, Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday June 10, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary.
