Obituary



Eula Maxine Prunty, 83, of Huntington WV, deceased January 24, 2017, born October 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Paul and Ina Matics, in Spencer, WV, where she graduated from Spencer High School. She had been an Executive Secretary with the Twentieth Street Bank, an Accountant at Piligram Laundry, and an Accountant and Legal Assistant with Prunty Law Offices, all of Huntington. Service: past President of the Cabell County Bar Association Auxillary; past Sunday School Teacher in the Childrens' Division of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington, a gardener, bridge player, bowler, and a super mother and grandmother. Her immediate family surviving: W. Merton Prunty, husband, Paul Joseph Prunty, son, Sandra Kay Prunty, daughter-in-law, Matthew Alexander Prunty, grandson, all of Huntington, WV; also surviving is her sister, Anna Polly Pearis, of San Antonio, TX, with brother Dennis Matics of Reedy WV having predeceased her. Memorials may be made to the Permanent Endowment Fund of the John W. Hereford Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Huntington, at 520 Everett Street, Huntington, WV 25702. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Alicia Porterfield and Rev. Hubert Harvey officiating.
