Obituary



Donna Lou Yost, 67, of Wayne, loving mother and grandmother, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1949 in Huntington a daughter of the late Ivel and Betha Adkins. Additional loved ones that have preceded her in death were a sister, Faye Ash, and three brothers, Winford "Wink" Adkins, Edwin "Duke" Adkins and Tudy Adkins. She worked formerly, as a mixer for Coca-Cola Bottling Company, as a supervisor for Agra General, and was a caretaker for the past 15 years. She was a member of Genoa Church of Christ. Survivors include her two sons, James "Tuttle" Yost (Misty Clagg, Stacy Yost) and Robert Yost, all of Huntington; three grandchildren, Contessa Lea Yost, Tyler Dale Templeton, and Kyra Roberts; two step grandchildren, Haleigh Nicole Burton and Elexis Page Spurlock; her caretaker and dear friend, Teresa Thompson of Wayne; three sisters, Arnolla "Noodle" Campbell, Geneva "Peanut" Paulus, and Catherine Davis, all of Huntington; four brothers, Garland Adkins of Huntington, Amon Adkins of Proctorville, Jerry Adkins and wife, Sharon Adkins of Ashton, WV, and Carroll "Bunkie" Adkins of Paden City, WV; and several nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Ray Vance officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit family after noon on Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
