Pamela Irene Compton

Pamela Irene Compton, 64, of Paintsville, KY, widow of Dennis Burbach, passed away Thursday November 3, 2011 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born February 6, 1947 in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of the late Chester Paul and Irene Belle Little Compton. She held the position of Executive Director for United Way of Eastern Kentucky. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Stacey Jarrell of Bradenton, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Joshua Ball of River, KY; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Kevin “P.K.” Compton and Patricia Compton of Lexington, KY; and seven grandchildren. Her request was to be cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date. She requested donations be made in her name to United Way of Eastern Kentucky at 508 Walnut Avenue, Paintsville, KY, 41240. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, WV, is assisting the family.
