Earl D. "Diz" Thompson

Mr. Earl D. “Diz” Thompson, 77, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, November 3. 2011 at the VA Regional Medical Center. He was born October 6, 1934 in Huntington, a son of the late Thomas Thompson, Sr., and Nolda Pinson Thompson. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Thompson, Jr. He was a retired General Manager with L. T. Ollesheimer and sons. He is survived by 2 children; Marty Thompson and Beth Ann Cornell, both of Huntington, 2 sisters; Rose Mary Farley of Huntington and Loretta Barrett of Lexington, KY; a brother, George Thompson, of Myrtle Beach, SC; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and his companion, Jean Adkins. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 7, 2011, at White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Friends may visit after 12:00 noon, Monday, November 7, 2011, at the cemetery.
