Acie Charles McCoy, 83, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 13, 1928 in Wayne County, WV, a son of Blandon and Bessie Qualls McCoy. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Owedia Mae Slone McCoy, and his special friend, Anna Cummings. He was retired from the Huntington State Hospital. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James M. and Donna McCoy, and Darrell McCoy and Tammy Taylor, all of Huntington; three grandchildren, James Daniel McCoy of Huntington, Melissa Mullens and her husband, Jason Mullens of Kenova, and Donald Moore of Huntington; and three great grandchildren, Makaylah Harrison and Jase Mullens of Kenova, and Abigail Moore of New Haven, WV. Friends may visit 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington and after his request was to be cremated. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
