Robert "Larry" Copley
(September 29, 1936 - November 21, 2011)

Robert Larry Copley, 75, of Huntington, husband of Sarah E. Copley, passed away Monday November 21, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Larry was born September 29, 1936 in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Joe and Bertha Conn Copley. He also had two sisters and three brothers precede him in death. Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retired from Heck’s Department Store as manager and had worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to his wife survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte Lakies and her companion, Kent Wilfong of Huntington, and Donetta and Rob Akers of Culloden, WV; two grandchildren, Natalie Akers and Kylen Akers of Culloden; a sister, Loretta Copley of South Point, OH; and his dog, Scooter. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday November 23, 2011 at White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville, with Minister Steven Walker officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Huntington or the American Lung Association. Friends may call after 1:00 PM Wednesday at the cemetery.
