Leah Gayle Millne
(February 20, 1922 - November 20, 2011)



Leah Gayle Millne, 89, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Gayle was born February 20, 1922 in Flint, Michigan a daughter of the late Stanley and Viola Houle Marengo. Her husband, Robert Stanley Millne and her sister, Margaret Riley, also preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was an avid bridge player and golfer. Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Lynn and Kevin Kirchgatter of St. Annsgar, Iowa and Suzanne Millne of Barboursville, WV; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Diana Millne of Huntington and Robert and Rebecca Millne of Kenova, WV; seven grandchildren, Robert Scott Millne, Kristin Hayes, Aaron Kirtley, Andrew Kirtley, Jason Kirchgatter, Brian Kirchgatter, and John Scott Kirchgatter; four great grandchildren, Jonathan William Kirtley, Jaxon Kirchgatter, Ava Kirchgatter, and Ethan Kirchgatter; and her brother, Paul Marengo of Marysville, MI. Memorial services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Father Charles Moran officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Wednesday. Inurnment will be at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House at 3100-Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
