DOROTHY BELLE JANE ADAMS
(December 6, 1933 - July 31, 2015)

DOROTHY BELLE JANE ADAMS, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., died Friday, July 31, 2015, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Charles Cremeans officiating. Dorothy was born December 6, 1933, in Salt Rock, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mike and Ermal Gladys Hager Cremeans. She worked at the former Rebels and Redcoats Restaurant for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jennings Patterson Sr.; one brother, Vernon Cremeans; two granddaughters, Melissa Raye and Tara Dawn Patterson. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Lynn Henderson; four sons, Thomas Rayburn Patterson, William Jennings Patterson Jr., Michael Lee Patterson and Shannon Jeffrey Patterson; two sisters, Louise Sullivan and Virginia Albright; one brother, Paul Cremeans; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her two loving companions, Rosie and Budd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Highlawn Full Gospel Assembly Church (2485 4th Ave., Huntington, WV 25703). Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
