Obituary
Mae Blake,
91, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday July 21, 2015 in St. Mary's Medical
Center. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday July 24, 2015 at
Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial
will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Mae was born
January 29, 1924 in Ranger, WV, a daughter of the late James E. and Margaret
Queen Lambert. She retired from Sears and Roebuck Department Store. She was
preceded in death by her husband, John G. "Butch" Blake, two daughters,
Louise Lambert and Sue Bias, one sister, Armilda Ferrell, three brothers,
James, Herman and Brady Lambert. Survivors include two daughters, Imogene
Holley of Proctorville, OH, Brenda Barrett of Huntington, one son, Joe
(Cassie) Blake of Huntington, 9 grandchildren, Nikki Blake, Trae and Seth
Chastain, Thomas and Tammy Bias, Stephanie Lewis, John Ross, Sam and
Christina McCoy, several great and great great-grandchildren, two special
friends, Frank Meehling of Rome, OH and Angie Butcher of Huntington. Friends
may visit with the family from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday July 23, 2015 at
Chapman's Mortuary.
