Obituary
Janice Mae Black,
69, of Ona, WV, widow of Dallas William Black, passed away Thursday, July 9,
2015 at her daughter’s residence. She was born October 30, 1945, in
Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Walter Samuel and Pluma Amelia
Clausen Burris. Her sister, Patricia Burris also preceded her in death. She
was a member of the Barboursville Church of Christ, and a former clerk with
Value City Department Store. Survivors include two daughters and
sons-in-law, Anita and Larry McComas of Ona, and Jacquie and Greg Dingus of
Chesapeake, OH; a son, Dallas William Black, Jr. of Ona; eight grandchildren
and spouses, Aaron and Katie Cremeans, Bethany and Charlie Fields, Jeremy
and Sara Dingus, Zachary and Mandee Dingus, Alix Black, Todd Dingus, Heather
and Colby Napier, and Trisha and Markus Holstein; 14 great grandchildren; a
brother, Edwin Burris of Huntington; a special sister-in-law, Shelia Mays of
Ona; and a special nephew, David Schack. Funeral service will be conducted
2:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Evangelist Dave
Gladwell officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may
visit family after 1:oo pm Monday at the funeral home.
