Obituary
Delilah Lackey,
63, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday July 2, 2015 in Cabell Huntington
Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Monday July 6, 2015
at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Cledith V. Campbell, Jr.
officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Delilah was born December
1, 1951 in Holden, WV, a daughter of the late Elva & Mary Fannin Meeks. She
was a cook at the Huntington Elks Lodge for over 20 years. Also preceding
her in death were one brother, Henry Meeks. Survivors include her husband,
Carson Lackey, one daughter, Carla Eplion one son, Carson Paul Lackey, & a
granddaughter, Kendra Eplion all of Huntington, three sisters, Eudora
Milligan of Chapmanville, WV, Juanita Huff of Seneca, SC, & Opal Neace of
Logan, WV, two brothers, Ronald Meeks of Logan & Willard Meeks of Cleveland,
OH, a sister-in-law, Dormal Meeks of Orlando, FL and her two cats that she
treated like her children, Buddy & Baby. Friends may visit with the family
from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday July 5, 2015.
