Ruby Smith

Ruby Smith 74, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 pm Monday, July 27, 2015, at Spring Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow. She was born January 26, 1941, in Panther, WV, McDowell County, a daughter of the late Joe and Fannie Blankenship McCoy. In addition to her parents, several siblings preceded her in death. She worked as a dental assistant. Survivors include four daughters, Kathy Smith, Loretta Smith, Connie Hicks and Lorene Smith; the father of her children, Clayton Smith; one sister, Pearlie Berry; one brother, George McCoy; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary. A luncheon will be held following the services Monday at the VFW Post 9738 Guyandotte.
