Obituary
Nancy Ellen Hurley Hesson,
96, of Huntington, widow of Waldo Hesson, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015,
in Heritage Center. She was born July 19, 1918 in Point Pleasant, WV, a
daughter of the late Joseph Patrick Hurley and Edna Belle Bowen Hurley
Ferguson. Nancy also had a son, Robert Patrick Hesson; a grandson, Steven
Patrick Hesson; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis and Anita Hurley
and Edwin and Doris Hurley precede her in death. She was a graduate of
Huntington High School class of 1936, graduate of Huntington Business
School, and an avid bridge player, as well as a mother and homemaker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Michael and Ruth Hesson
of Huntington; three grandchildren and spouses, David Michael and Angelia
Hesson of Huntington, John Edward and Julie Hesson of Westerville, OH, and
Susan Paige Hesson of Huntington; and six great grandchildren. The family
will have a private burial and memorial service at a later date. Donations
may be sent to a charity of one’s choice in her name.
