Obituary
Willard O. Lucas,
94, of Proctorville, OH formerly of Huntington, died Friday July 3, 2015 in
St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM
Wednesday July 8, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Dick Lucas &
Mark Breeding officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Willard
was born April 12, 1921 in Wayne County, WV a son of the late William
Fletcher & Mary Jane Goodman Lucas. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired
Car Salesman working for the former Superior Cadillac & Gallagher Ford. He
was a member of the Fairland Baptist Church in Proctorville, OH. He was
preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel E. Lucas, one son, Willard
“Butch” Lucas, Jr., 5 sisters & 4 brothers. Survivors include his wife.
Doris J. Lucas, two daughters, Sondra Fry & husband Jennings of Woodsville,
OH, & Phyllis Bailey & friend Riley of Ashland, KY, 14 grandchildren
including a special grandson, Brian Lucas, 7 great-grandchildren & 5 great
great-grandchildren, 4 stepchildren, Bryan Summer, Linda Walker, Gary &
Steven Kypke and several nieces & nephews. Friends may visit with the family
after 1:00 PM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
