Obituary
Betty Lou Wamsley,
91, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, in St. Mary’s
Medical Center. She was born January 11, 1924 in Cabell County, WV a
daughter of the late Alex Church and Ruth Church Sansom. Two sisters, Anna
Francis Swartwood and Peggy Jo White and a brother, Dickie Horne, also
preceded her in death. She was a former clerk for Tanner’s Drug Store,
Heck’s Department Store and Drug Emporium. Survivors include; three sons and
a daughter-in-law, Lewis M. Wamsley of Dayton, OH, Michael “Mike” Wamsley of
Las Vegas, NV and Jim and Brenda Wamsley of Huntington; two grandsons, Chris
Wamsley and Travis Wamsley of Ohio; two great grandchildren, Justus Wamsley
and Madisyn Wamsley; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Forest Kimler of
St. Augustine, FL; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Tijuana Horne of
McKinney, TX; and a brother-in-law, Carl White of Proctorville, OH. Funeral
services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Chapman’s
Mortuary, Huntington, with Ernie Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in
Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00
pm Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
