Obituary

Mattie Jacqueline Estep
(February 28, 1922 - May 3, 2015)



Mattie Jacqueline Estep, 93, of Chesapeake, OH, joined her heavenly father on Sunday May 3, 2015 at her daughter’s residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday May 7, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with her grandson Pastor Kenneth Eugene Estep officiating. Entombment will be in the White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Mattie was born February 28, 1922 in Denora, PA, a daughter of the late Howard & Lena Howard Flesher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Estep, one daughter, Lynda Skeins, two great-grandchildren, Toni Black & Beau Skeins, one sister, Doris Jane Flesher, & three brothers, James, Kenneth & Joe Flesher. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Carol & Lowell Damron of Chesapeake, two sons & daughters-in-law, Howard Franklin “Bobby” & Rosalie Estep of Proctorville, OH, & Richard & Leslie Estep of Chesapeake, one sister & brother-in-law, Betty & Gene Knight of Houston, TX, 20 grandchildren, and a host of great & great-great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Carol and Lowell Damron for the compassionate care given over the past 13 years. The family would also like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s Medical Centers Home Health of Proctorville, including Rhonda & Amy and Dr. Cynthia Pinson & Emily.
