Obituary

JUDITH WALLS HARMON
(March 15, 1933 - May 2, 2015)



JUDITH WALLS HARMON, 82, passed away on May 2, 2015, after a brief illness. She most recently resided in Brandon, Florida, but West Virginia was always her home. Judith was born at Amherstdale, Logan County, West Virginia on March 15, 1933, the daughter of the late Mary Kathleen Mitchem Walls and Charles Simmie Walls. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harmon; two sisters, Mary Charlene Walls Lusk and Harriet Frances Walls Scott; two brothers, Larry Allen Walls and M/Sgt (retired) Johnie Mack Walls. A 1951 graduate of Man High School, she was a member of the Old Man High Alumni Association and served as its Secretary and Chairman of the We Care Committee. Judith is survived by her beloved brothers J.C. Walls (Sharon), Crown City, Ohio and Randall Walls (Sandy), Sarasota, Fla.; three sons, Sidney Harmon (Jackie Hall) of Cool Ridge, W.Va., Harry Harmon (Chari) of Glenwood, W.Va., John Harmon (Juli Bailey) of Evans, W.Va.; and two daughters, Kathlene Harmon (Rick Brice) of New Port Richey, Fla., and Kristine Harmon-McCreery (John McCreery) of Brandon, Fla., with whom she made her home. She also leaves beloved grandchildren Jennifer Harmon-Lusky (Chris Lusky), Amy Harmon-Baker (Billy Baker), Joe Harmon (Rachel), Megan Carper (Johnny), Heather Oldaker (Brad Wysong), Megan Pressley (Richard), Stephen Griffiths, Alan Harmon (Krizelle), Lindsay Harmon, Adam Harmon, and Brandi and Jordan Hall; as well as her precious great-grandchildren Brandon Begil, Madison Porter, Allyson and Craig Maynard, Elsa, Alice, Joseph and Mathias Harmon, Bailey and Kingsley Carper, Mikayla Oldaker and Kyllene, Kayli, Karllise and Kaydin Harmon; and daughter-in-law Deborah Brackman Harmon, Lesage, W.Va. A celebration of life service will be held at Chapman's Mortuary. Huntington, W.Va., at a date and time to be later announced.
