Obituary

Carol Ann "Toni" Rencsok McCallister
(March 15, 1939 - May 25, 2015)



Carol Ann “Toni” Rencsok McCallister, 76 years old, entered into eternal rest with her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 25, 2015. She died following a long illness, at home in the arms of her loving husband of 56 years, William “Art” McCallister. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Allen Reasons officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. She was born March 15, 1939 in Huntington a daughter of the late Dave Frank and Bessie Gladys Bailey Rencsok. Toni graduated from Huntington High School in 1957 and obtained a Masters in Education from Marshall University. She taught as a Reading Specialist in Wayne County Schools for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a faithful member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, the Huntington’s Woman’s Club, and Delta Kappa Gama Sorority. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mike Schunk of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a grandson, Christopher Schunk of Fort Lauderdale; a special sister, Mary Preston of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Connie Rencsok of Washington, NC; and a large extended family. She will be sadly missed, but forever in our hearts. Donations may be made to N.E.S.H.- Nicaragua Education, Shelter and Health Fund, Inc., at P.O. Box 731 Barboursville, WV 25504, in her name. Family will visit with friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary and after noon Thursday at the church before services.
