Al Irby

Elmer Alfred “Al” Irby, III, 65, of Hartselle, AL, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at home. A memorial-funeral service will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary for him and his brother Mike Irby who also died Friday, May 8, 2015. Pastor Brad Jenkins will officiate. He was born April 4, 1950, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Elmer Alfred Irby, Jr., and the late Esther Ruth Jones Irby. He was a millwright by trade. He was Methodist by faith. Survivors include, one daughter, Jaimie Irby Naylor of Hartselle, AL; a son Michael Irby (Jai Grover Irby) of Idaho; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leigh and Walter Christian of South Point, OH, and Suzanne and Merle Toumey of Seattle, WA; former spouse, Karen Porter Irby Carnohan; two grandchildren, Savanna Naylor and Landon Naylor; Uncles Jon Irby (Margaret), and Jack Graham; cousin, Erma Jean Wellman; several nieces and nephews.
