Martha Gay Sims
(March 31, 1936 - May 19, 2015)

Martha Gay Sims, 79, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday May 19, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday May 26, 2015 at White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with Ernest Ritchie officiating. Martha was born March 31, 1936 in Lincoln, County, WV, a daughter of the late Calvin & Wilda Adkins Dotson. She was retired from the former Kerr Glass Bottling Company. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert G. Sims, two sisters, Lena O. Honaker & Imogene Brown, one brother, Raymond Dotson and a grandson, Scott Sims. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Sims, two sons, Ronnie & Tom Sims, one sister, Lorene Smith, 8 grandchildren, Mike, Dan, Tommy, Joshua, Melinda, Misty, Cycelee & Glennda Sims all of Huntington, 16 great grandchildren & 5 great great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center for their care and respect of our Mother, especially Heather, Amanda, Brandy, Kylie, Gypsy and Cara. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses. Friends may call at the cemetery after 10:00 AM on Tuesday. Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
