Bernice Launa Boynton, 90, of South Point, OH, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, in South Point. She was born August 14, 1927 in Oklahoma City, OK, a daughter of the late Chester and Kathleen Rogers Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Boynton; a son, Bernard Pendergraph; a daughter, Jean Leakey; a sister, Maryann Payne; and a brother, Bernard Carson. She attended Christ Community Church, South Point, OH. Survivors include: one daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Tim DelCheccolo of South Point, with whom she made her home, and son-in-law, Larry Leakey; two sisters, Kathleen Carson and Joann Massey; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Inurnment will be at a later date in South Florida Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
