Obituary



Nancy Joann Scarberry, 87, of Huntington, widow of Walter R. Scarberry, Sr., died Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. She was born October 27, 1930, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Dixie Nethercutt. A son, David Scarberry and a daughter Rebecca Worden also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include; two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter R. Scarberry, Jr, (Oweta Sue) of Jacksonville, FL, Danny K. and Shirley Scarberry of Huntington; two brothers, Carl Graves of Huntington, and Paul Graves of Columbus, OH; 4 grandchildren, Lee, Krystal, Zane and Jason; 4 great-grandchildren, Ian, Jasper, Kameron and Zack. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 30 in Oaklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to service time Saturday at the cemetery.
